3、ration. Gaining independence meant a new page in Sub- Saharan African countries’ history but lack of Experiences to develop their national economies . Europe had undedeveloped the African Continent , Wh

4、at was Sub- Saharan Africa really like on the Eve of Independence?These newly- born countries were anxiou to get rid of backwardness and poverty and longged for a “take- off”in national economies which would eme

5、rge soon after independence. As Industrilisation is regarded the essence of modernisation, it prevailed in developing countries after World War II , particularly in East Asia and Latin America. Sub- Sa

6、haran African countries followed it.and spared no effort to carry out Industrilisation policies in 1960’s &1970’s. How was Industrilisation promoted in Sub- Saharan Africa? What progress had been made and w

7、hat problems had emerged ?The author draws a conclusion that it was absolutely correct and necessary for newly-born Sub- Saharan African countries to promote Industrilisation and great progress had been made
